No to exam changes

THE exams regulator has rejected plans to introduce quotas for GCSE and A-level grades that would mean similar numbers of teenagers achieving top marks in each subject.

Ofqual has ruled out making the changes after more than a year of public debate on measures it had proposed.

Maths is among the subjects with a high number of top grades.
