Another election? Groan ... I’m with Brenda
DON’T you just love Brenda fromBristol?
She became the voice of the nation last week when a BBC reporter doorstepped her to ask how she felt about another election.
“You’re joking, not another one,” shrieked Brenda.
She’s right. We’ve had a general election in 2015 followed by a year-long debate about the EU referendum.
Since the Brexit vote, we’ve had nothing but debates between Leavers and Remoaners.
Just to add to our joy in Scotland, we’ve got local elections pending, not to mention the debate around whether we should have another independence referendum.
Bring back Broadchurch. More Peppa Pig cartoons, please. Anything but endless “suits” talking about what might happen if we don’t vote the right way.
I know that I will not fail toputmyXintheboxon the day.
After all, brave suffragettes threw themselves in front of racehorses to win me the right to vote, so I will not failinmycivicduty.
But please could someone somewhere stop pontificating about it endlessly on TV?
