Paintbrushes at the ready

-

THE DIY season is now well and truly under way. So how can you add value to your home? Here are some tips from property expert Sarah Beeny, owner of estate agent Tepilo:

A fresh lick of paint will enhance a buyer’s first impressions. Neutral tones make a house appear lighter and more polished-looking. Kitchens really do sell houses. A relatively cheap way to spruce one up is by installing new worktops and doors, rather than replacing whole kitchen units. New tiles and flooring can have a similar effect in updating a kitchen.

Bathrooms can also make or break a sale. Hide any unsightly pipework and repair or replace worn tiling.
