Hollywood hunt for Scots talent
A CASTING company is looking to recruit an army for a star-studded film about Mary Queen of Scots.
The movie will start shooting in September and feature top Hollywood stars Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie, as well as Scots actor Jack Lowden.
Lowden will take on the role of Lord Darnley opposite Ronan, who is playing the eponymous royal, with Robbie as her cousin Queen Elizabeth I.
Alex Pickford, who jointly runs Piece of Cake casting, said: “We are looking for hundreds of men who are basically of fighting age to join Queen Mary’s army for the film.
“The film will be shot at different locations all over Scotland but a lot will be around Fort William.”
