SCOTTISH Labour’s ‘magnificent seven’ MPs made their debut on the Terrace at Westminster last week and there were shocking scenes.

A witness described how, when Ian Murray offered to order their first drinks from the Parliamentary bar, at least two of them replied: “But we haven’t eaten yet.”

One hardened observer explained: “In all the years of Scottish Labour representation at Westminster, I have never known one of their MPs to turn down a drink!”
