Throw the book at veterans’ charity crook

-

I WAS angry to hear that a conman had stolen funds raised to help injured soldiers and veterans.

I was especially upset because I was there at the launch of the Tayforth Veterans Project back in 2011.

James Reilly, who invited me to open the centre, scandalously went on to embezzle £60,000 from the charity.

This cash would have been raised in good faith by people who wanted to help our fantastic armed forces veterans.

They have all been utterly betrayed.

No one had any idea that the man who set up the charity would turn out to be the lowest of the low.

Some veterans attended the court case in Dundee to make sure that justice was done and to hear Reilly being found guilty.

He will be sentenced next month.

I honestly have no idea how he can sleep at night and I hope they throw the book at him.

He really is an absolute disgrace.
