A million flowers, a big cake, fireworks... and a £5 million bill

THE nuptials of Folarin Alakija, son of Nigerian oil tycoon Folorunsho Alakija, and Iranian beauty Nazanin Jafarian Ghaissarifar at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire last weekend were simply stunning.

From the one million white roses and 10-tier cake to the bespoke marble floor etched with the couple’s initials in gold, the attention to detail was amazing, but came with a reported £5 million price tag to match.

The spectacular flowers by celeb florist Jeff Leatham are likely to have cost at least £200,000.

And the evening ended in an awe-inspiring firework display in the hotel grounds.
