You will meet him again

-

Dear June

I AM a 75-year-old widow and have been trying to trace an old friend for a long time.

I was told by a fortune teller in Glasgow that I would meet him again.

I recently received information that he had died last year.

I’m heartbroken as I would have liked to talk to him again. Margaret, Motherwell.

Those who have touched us in our lifetime can leave us with the most wonderful memories. Even if their interaction was all but brief, they have a connection to us that goes far beyond that of our physical lives.

They have been a part of our physical journey and we’ve been a part of theirs.

As we get older, we often look back and wonder where our friends of the past are now and how their lives have turned out.

It is wonderful to be able to trace them and reconnect, to be able to share memories of the past and to create many more for the future.

As we age we all become much more experienced in our lives and how we lived them, and are able to fully appreciate the value of true friends.

We are able to see the full picture of our memories, which in turn allows us to tell the difference between those who entered our lives as acquaintances and those who touched our hearts as friends.

The connection you held with your dear friend in this life is not the end and as the fortune teller predicted, you will one day meet him again.
