His mainland career comes after a comfortable win in a bumper at Gowran Park, and an easy point victory by six lengths at Kinsale.
At Market Rasen last month, Mcgroarty was 12 lengths adrift of Dan Skelton’s Hestina, who has turned out to be a very progressive mare.
The yard is in sparkling form and there is good reason to believe that, with Mcgroarty settled in his new base, Newland will find improvement again.

A cosy winner from Costa Percy at Hexham the time before, he burst a blood vessel and was pulled up by Wayne Hutchinson as soon as he could.
The Hexham victory is important, for the second horse that day went on to win by 27 lengths next time and City Dreamer can atone.
