It’s Hoy joy as Sir Chris becomes a dad again

-

OLYMPIC champion Sir Chris Hoy and his wife are celebrating the birth of a baby daughter.

The six-time gold medal winner revealed new arrival Chloe and wife Sarra are “doing really well”.

Announcing the news on Twitter yesterday, Sir Chris posted: “Delighted to announce the safe arrival of Chloe Rose Carol Hoy.”

Alongside an adorable snap of Chloe in a bonnet, he said she was born at 36 weeks weighing 4lbs 14oz.

Lady Sarra added: “We owe a huge debt of thanks to our local hospital and amazing staff, who gave me the most incredible care, while our family of three became four.”

Chloe is the couple’s second child following their son Callum, who was born 11 weeks premature by emergency caesarean section in 2014, after Sarra was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia.

At birth, Callum weighed a mere 2lbs 2oz, but has since grown into a healthy two-year-old.

After his birth, Sarra became the official ambassador of Bliss Scotland, a charity for babies born prematurely or sick.

Friends and family were quick to congratulate the couple yesterday.

Judy Murray tweeted: “Adorable. Congratulations Team Hoy x.”

Others to send their best wishes included TV presenter Gabby Logan and former Team GB cyclist Joanna Rowsell Shand.
