Dangerous rapist had secret affair with woman

-

A RAPIST considered one of Scotland’s most dangerous sex offenders started a secret affair with a mother of three children – and was seen repeatedly near a 13 year old girl.

John McDougall, 37, made a frantic prison phone call to the woman after fearing police would raid her home and seize his mobile phone.

McDougall – considered “an imminent risk of sexual harm” – begged her on the recorded line: “Be very careful what you say because they can listen to it.

“Don’t say anything you don’t want them to know.”

The rapist is banned from any contact with females under 18 and from approaching any adult female not accompanied by another adult.

McDougall, who is also on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely, also has to tell police within 24 hours of getting any internet-enabled device and have it ready for inspection.

He is also not allowed to delete his internet, text or phone history and must tell police about any relationship made “in person or on social media” within 48 hours.

McDougall, from Kilbirnie, Ayrshire, was jailed for three years this week after being convicted of four breaches of his Sexual Offences Prevention Order and attempting to pervert justice by trying to get Ms McCulloch to dispose of a mobile phone.

A 13-year-old girl told the court she had met McDougall “about three times”.
