Huge fire at block of flats in Kent
MORE than 100 firefighters have been tackling a large fire at a block of flats in Kent.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at about 6.50am yesterday.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
The building was evacuated and there were no reports of anyone being injured.
A community briefing centre has been set up for the residents of the 22 flats in the block, the fire service said.
A spokesman added: “Crews are likely to remain on the scene for some time. It is believed that everyone has been accounted for and a rest centre is in place.”
