Top honour for former Scots Labour leader Kezia

AS Scottish Labour leader, Kezia Dugdale often found herself in a thankless position.

But following her resignation from the post last month, she has been honoured for her diversity work by being named Politician of the Year at the Icon Awards at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel.

Kezia attended the event with her girlfriend, SNP MSP Jenny Gilruth.

She said: “I’m incredibly humbled to be receiving this reward as Politician of the Year, especially at such an important event as the Icon Awards.

“What makes tonight even more special is that I got to share the moment with my amazing girlfriend Jenny, who I love.

“It’s very fitting that our first official engagement as a couple is at an event celebrating diversity and inclusion in Scotland.”
