Elephants’ plight is heartbreaking
WE all know elephants never forget, but it turns out these endangered animals are even more intelligent than we believed.
They are adapting to the threat of ivory poaching by becoming much more active at night-time.
The elephants hide in deep bush during the day before coming out at night to feed.
The discovery, made in Kenya by the charity Save The Elephant, shows just how adaptable these creatures are.
But it is a crying shame to think of them living in terror, forced to change their behaviour due to mankind’s cruelty.
