Series two planned for new drama
ITV’S new drama Liar has been such a hit that telly bosses have already started planning a second series.
Producers believe the show, which stars Downtown Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt, could be as big as Broadchurch.
Five million people tuned in for Monday’s first episode of the six-part-series – and it was hailed by critics.
Speaking on a second series, a source said: “The vision is already there. The wheels are already in motion.”
Froggatt, 37, teased fans in a radio interview.
Joanne said there was “a bit of an offshoot that makes for a possible furthering of the story”.
She added: “There’s definitely a satisfying conclusion to this series.”
