PUTTING into words how it feels to watch a loved one with dementia is certainly no easy task.

Over the years, I have watched my husband go through the stages of this cruel disease. The man I married has changed drastically since being diagnosed with vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s nearly six years ago.

He no longer recognises myself or our two daughters, but we visit regularly.
