I am so glad to see that The Apprentice is back.
I have loved it since the first series and, although I think it’s got a bit stale, it’s still ridiculously watchable.
I can’t quite believe the voiceover that tells you they are 18 of Great Britain’s most promising young entrepreneurs.
You end up thinking, are they really? Where are the leadership skills, the business acumen or even the common sense?
Each of the tasks is a team competition but they almost all act as individuals, protecting themselves and they don’t mind landing other people in it to save their own skin.
I think Karren Brady and Claude Littner are a great double act. I have met Karren a few times. We were on a Women In Sport government think-tank together.
She’s very impressive – straight to the point with a real no-nonsense approach. And her eye rolls are to die for. You can see why she’s made it to the top.
