What possessed Levein to have another go at Broony?

When people knock him – whether it’s fans, pundits, opposition players, or even managers of other teams – it seems to drive him on.
You can see it in his body language, in the way he carries himself on the pitch, back straight, chest out, smirking away.

That’s why I can’t understand Craig Levein’s decision to have yet another dig at Celtic’s captain.
I thought he was quite cute with his “everybody needs protection from Scott Brown” line.
His latest inexplicable.
What does the Hearts gaffer have to gain by

just accusing Broony of getting booked deliberately against Kilmarnock in order to serve a suspension before the next Old Firm game?
It’s a game Levein isn’t even involved in!
I can’t make head nor tail of the thought process that led him to open his mouth.
After all, he set Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers up perfectly to launch back at him.
By labelling Levein “obsessed”, he’s made the Jambos gaffer look foolish.
That’s not something he will relish.
But I bet Scott Brown will – and he’ll be determined to do his own talking on the pitch the next time he faces Hearts.
