After East Kilbride moved top for 24 hours thanks to a 1-0 Friday night win over BSC Glasgow, SPARTANS moved back to the summit of the table with a 3-0 win over GRETNA 2008 at Raydale. They went ahead on the halfhour when David Greenhall lobbed the ball over the advancing keeper. In the 63rd minute, Jamie Dishington fastened on to Craig Stevenson’s cross and fired home No.2. Eight minutes later, Spartans were 3-0 up when Guillermo Lamarca header went in off Gretna defender Daniel Wadge.

EAST STIRLINGSH­IRE will spend their third season in the Lowland despite a 3-1 win over WHITEHALL WELFARE and a 17-game recordbrea­king unbeaten run. They look set to finish in third after Andy Rodger put them ahead on 42 minutes. He got another after the restart. Although Josh Morris pulled back for Welfare in the 59th minute, Graeme Mcgregor sealed the win with a 70th minute goal. Welfare had Stephane Murray red carded late on.

GALA FAIRYDEAN ROVERS and STIRLING UNI fought out a 1-1 draw, with the Scholars taking the lead on the hour with a Blair Lyons goal. But the Fairies hit back with 13 minutes left when Grant Rose equalised.

CIVIL SERVICE STROLLERS had a comfortabl­e 4-0 win over VALE OF LEITHEN. Mark Mcconnell put them ahead on 15 minutes and David Churchill added a second six minutes later. Mcconnell got his second goal five minutes after the turn and Stephen Froud hit No.4 on 60 minutes.

EDUSPORT ACADEMY’S improving run continued with a 3-0 win over SELKIRK with a storming first half. Aidan Wilson put them ahead after eight minutes and David Sinclair added No.2 in the 19th minute. Liam Coogans fired in the third on the halfhour mark.

DALBEATTIE STAR’S losing run to CUMBERNAUL­D COLTS continued for the third season as they went down 2-0 at Broadwood. Michael Wallace hit the opener in 20 minutes and Gavin Lachlan doubled the score in the 69th minute.

Bottom side HAWICK ROYAL ALBERT and EDINBURGH UNI drew 2-2, with David Maskrey giving the Uni side a half-time lead. On 50 minutes, the Royalists were level through Cormack O’brian. The visitors went ahead for the second time when Finn Daniel-yeomans scored in 79 minutes, but, with five minutes left, David Mccaughie salvaged a point for The Albert.
