Forres 4 strathspey TH 1

-

On-fire Forres clinically saw off the Grantown Jags to go level with Fraserburgh on points and pick up their 20th win of the season.

They took route one to open the scoring with Stuart Soane flicking on a Stuart Knight kick-out for Robbie Duncanson to net with his left foot and the aid of a deflection.

Alan Macphee cheekily added a second early in the second half as he cut in from the left-wing, dancing his way along the byline before squeezing it in at the near post.

Andrew Macrae added another to his tally when his effort from the edge of the box managed to find its way over the line past the despairing Michael Maccallum.

Stuart Soane volleyed home the fourth from a Macrae header back across goal.

The Can Cans’ scoring spree was halted by a goal at the other end from former Forres man John Cameron, who nipped in behind the defence, lobbed the ball over Knight and had the presence of mind to follow in to ensure he was on hand to head over the line as the ball came back off the post.

the ball over goalkeeper Paul Leask.

Anderson sealed victory for Academy and his hat-trick thanks to another fine Allan assist 15 minutes from time.

And, 10 minutes later, he capped a dream day for the home side by rounding Leask and tapping in his fourth of the game.
