Perth’s annual festival of American roots music has become one of the favourite dates on the calendar for musicians of the genre.

One of the biggest names this year is threetime Grammy winner Steve Earle And The Dukes, who play Perth Concert Hall on Thursday.

Two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Graham Nash is in the same venue on Saturday, and also playing over the weekend are Gretchen Peters, Darrell Scott and local star Blue Rose Code.

The World Heritage Site is hosting the V&A Museum Of Childhood’s exhibition – Game Plan: Board Games Uncovered, where there is the chance to play giant versions of our favourite games.

Visitors can enjoy hands-on interactiv­es and see more than 100 objects, featuring games from around the world.

Throughout the exhibition, selected games of special interest are highlighte­d with more detailed informatio­n on their history and influence.

Romance arises when Dracula meets the mysterious ship’s Captain, Ericka. Now it’s Mavis’ turn to play the overprotec­tive parent, keeping her dad and Ericka apart.

His new love interest is actually a descendant of Van Helsing, ancient nemesis to Dracula.
