Flurry of late goals but Blue Toon gather points

Peterhead were dominant in the opening spell and Rory Mcallister, Ryan Dow and Jack Leitch went close in the first 17 minutes.

Peterhead had two headers from Leitch and Russell Mclean saved just before they went ahead in the 29th minute with Dow heading in a cross.

Tony Wallace headed over for Annan in the 71st minute.

Rory Mcallister made it 2-0 for the visitors on 80 minutes.

In a grandstand finish, Tony Wallace headed in an Aiden Smith cross for Annan in the 83rd minute.

Two minutes later, Jason Brown accepted a pass from Willie Gibson and slotted in No. 3 for the Blue Toon.

BERWICK RANGERS 2 clyde 3 Rangers’ opener came on 27 minutes when Daryl Healy played Cedwyn Scott through and the striker shot low past Blair Currie.

Berwick doubled their lead on 40 minutes when Gary Phillips made a strong run through the middle and set up Jack Ogilvie, who cooly slotted past Currie.

Clyde hit back with two goals in the first nine minutes in the second half.

The Bully Wee caught Rangers cold when David Goodwillie netted from close range after the ball was cut into the box from the left by Martin Mcniff.

And, after Mark Lamont blazed wide, substitute Karin Belmokhtar levelled it up at 2-2 when Robert Wilson lost possession in the opposition half and Clyde broke quickly.

Minutes later, Goodwillie almost gave Clyde the lead but dragged his shot inches wide.

In a dramatic finale, Belmokhtar forced a last-minute winner from close range after Rangers keeper Sean Brennan made a fine double save. elgin city 2 QUEEN’S PARK 1 The visitors went in front when Josh Peters pounced on a miscued clearance to drill under keeper Kyle Gourlay.

The save from Shepherd was a penalty awarded after Mcgurn had fouled Henderson.

The winner came on the hour mark when Robbie Mcintyre’s corner was met by the head of Balatoni.

ALBION ROVERS 3 Stirling ALBION 0 Rovers took an early lead when Lewis Mclear netted.

It was 2-0 when Ryan Watters scored at the back post.

The hosts scored again in the closing minutes when Watters found space in the box after being played in by Gary Fisher and thumped the ball home.

■ Stirling Albion parted company with manager Dave Mackay in the wake of this defeat.
