LOCHEE UNITED stretched their winning run to eight matches following a 2-1 win at GLENROTHES. Scott Mccomiskie gave the Bluebells the lead in 31 minutes and Bryan Deasley doubled their lead midway through the second half. The Glens made them sweat, however, for the last seven minutes when John Martin pulled one back.

BROUGHTY ATHLETIC remain second top after a hardfought win at KENNOWAY. There was little to choose between the sides but Ryan Mccord’s second-half goal for The Fed proved to be the only goal of the game.

FORFAR WEST END and CARNOUSTIE PANMURE settled for a point each after a 1-1 draw. Stephen Mcphee gave the Gowfers the lead in five minutes but the hosts hit back with an equaliser from Andy Walls just before the interval.

DOWNFIELD and KIRRIE THISTLE also shared the points in a 2-2 draw. Jordan Hornby gave the Spiders the lead in eight minutes but Kirrie levelled through a Dale Reid penalty on 38 minutes. Kirrie then took the lead just after the break when Jordan Garden sliced a Reid cross into his own net. However, the same player made amends when he grabbed the equaliser on the hour mark. Kirrie then had to play the last 25 minutes with 10 men after Ryan Winter was red-carded.

THORNTON HIBS are back up to third in the league after a 4-0 win at FAULDHOUSE. Garry Thomson netted a hattrick, with Chris Ireland also scoring.

The clash of the top two in the North League ended in a stalemate with NORTH END and LUNCARTY drawing 1-1 . Gary Sutherland gave the Dokens a half-time lead, but the Perthshire outfit hit back with a secondhalf equaliser from Tony Holt.

ROSYTH had to play the last half-hour against LIVINGSTON UNITED with 10 men after Conor Drury was ordered off and Livingston went on to win 2-1. Kieran Mcgurk gave Livi the lead in 53 minutes and, although Grant Henderson equalised, Bryan Jaconelli went on to net a winner for the visitors.

In the West, HURLFORD came from three goals down with 10 men to win 4-3 at BEITH to secure their 10th consecutiv­e Premiershi­p win. The hosts were in command thanks to firsthalf goals from Thomas Collins, Paul Frize and Peter Haggarty, but a Ross Robertson penalty gave Hurlford hope before the break. David Barron was then dismissed, but an own goal and a strike from Michael Reilly restored parity before James Hilton scored the winning goal.

GLENAFTON moved above AUCHINLECK TALBOT in the table thanks to a 1-0 success. Kyle Mcausland’s freekick was decisive.
