Fairy tale on Fair Isle has to be a film
I loved the story last week about the electrician who visited the remote Fair Isle which has a population of just 50 people.
Thomas Fisher was there on a temporary contract and there wasn’t a great deal to do, so he took himself to the sole pub on the island to play darts.
It was there he met Marie, a French girl who had moved to Fair Isle for its peace and tranquillity.
Now Thomas has moved to the island permanently to be with Marie, who he calls the “light of my life”.
Surely this story is crying out to be turned into a Romcom? How about it, British Film Industry? I’ll cast it for you.
Bodyguard’s Richard Madden to play Thomas, and Victoria’s Jenna Coleman – avec un French accent – to play Marie.
They used to be a couple so I reckon that would be a perfect match.
