Indie band swaps pop for opera
One of Scotland’s most popular indie bands is joining the opera world.
Glasgow-based Admiral Fallow has teamed up with classical composer Gareth Williams for an ambitious new project called Navigate The Blood.
The libretto is written by playwright Sian Evans.
The band will tour the project around the country with classical singers next month, at unusual venues such as distilleries and restaurants.
Admiral Fallow lead singer Louis Abbott said: “We are squeezing into all sorts of weird spaces.
“We’ve always been a band who like to work in strange ways in the music world but we were feeling a bit in the dark at first with this one.”
