One in five Glaswegian office staff put on a “posh” accent to appear more professional at work, according to a poll.

Employees in the city were found to be among the UK’S biggest “fakers”, alongside London.

Edinburgh staff came in eighth place.

What a shame. We should be more proud of our roots – and our alluring accents.
