Ethical investing could help build people’s confidence in pensions, a survey of members of workplace pension scheme Nest has found.

Nearly three-quarters (73%) think it’s important their pension scheme considers the environment, society and corporate behaviour when investing their money, according to the report.

While most people know it is important to invest in a workplace pension, many are still wary of them. Nest carried out a separate survey of working people eligible for automatic enrolment into workplace pensions, which found that a quarter (25%) say they do not trust pension companies.
