Scottish actor Michael Nardone (BBC 1’s The Night Manager and Rellik, HBO’S Rome) will play the title role in the National Theatre’s touring production of Macbeth, with Kirsty Besterman joining the cast as Lady Macbeth.

Directed by NT artistic director Rufus Norris, this new production has been described as epic and visually daring and propels Shakespear­e’s classic title into a post-apocalypti­c world of anarchy and uncertaint­y.

Also at His Majesty’s, Aberdeen, from Nov 7-10.

Another stellar night of American country music comes to Glasgow, with Chase Rice returning to the UK after last year’s sold-out tour.

Having co-written one of the biggest selling country songs of all time (Cruise by Florida Georgia Line), he is now establishe­d as an artist in his own right with the successful Lambs & Lions album.

Support comes from Jimmie Allen, a rising star who is tipped to be of the next big breakout country acts.
