He scored many of the soundtracks of his films, the synth-heavy sound adding a sense of foreboding to many of his tensest scenes.

Carpenter has scored the soundtrack to the latest in the Halloween series. Front and centre, of course, is the iconic theme, that famous 5/4 time signature as creepy as ever.
