Her seventh album, alongside long-term collaborators Inge Thomson on accordion and brother Steven Polwart on guitar, is another mature offering, full of beautiful and at times haunting melodies, as well as more band heavy tracks like the title track and the powerful spoken word I Burn But I Am Not Consumed, about Donald Trump and his relationship to Scotland.

Carrying on a run of stellar releases, more awards are surely imminent.
