Quiz Master can have the answer

- By reg Moore SPORT@SUNDAYPOST. COM

Quiz Master has a welterw e i g h t to carry in Ut t o x e t e r ’ s opening handicap hurdle. But he has much in his favour.

Last time, he was tried over three miles by trainer Colin Ti z z a rd and struggled with the trip and Ffos Las’s heavy ground.

Previously, the six-yearold had been beaten in photo-finishes by Christmas In April and Kalmbeforethestorm over shorter.

His Ffos Las run also came after a six- month summer b re a k , and Tizzard will be looking forward to Quiz Master progressing again.

Paul Webber has been quiet by his standards. But he had a winner at Southwell in the week and iseagertoseeindefatigable running today.

Certainly, on the basis of his debut three-and-a-half length third to subsequent Cheltenham bumper winner Relegate, he has a great chance.

Following that Punchestown effort, he dead- heated for first at Southwell as he returned from a break at Newbury, 17 days ago.

Notwhatiam won a fiverunner race at today’s venue, after his move from Ireland to Dan Skelton, and went on to a 0-140 at Cheltenham.

The former Adrian Ke a t l e y inmate wa s travelling smoothly a month ago, but fell two out. Today’s 0- 135 is a realistic target.
