LOCHEE UNITED’S Scottish Cup dreams are over after losing 3-1 to NEILSTON in their replay. The Bluebells started brightly, but fell behind in eight minutes when Paul Stewart’s angled drive beat home goalie John Sinclair. Sinclair was at fault for Neilston’s second in 23 minutes when he failed to hold on to a Mark Archdeacon shot and the same player followed up to net the rebound. The Bluebells threatened a comeback when Gary Kenneth headed home in 50 minutes, but Neilston sealed the tie through a Dylan Fletcher penalty in 72 minutes.

NORTH END are also out after two first-half goals were good enough to give KIRKINTILL­OCH ROB ROY victory.

PETERSHILL cruised past hosts RUTHERGLEN GLENCAIRN 4-0 in their tie, with Roddy Paterson hitting a first-half double. Chris Ketterer scored just after the break and Scott Brodie wrapped the win up late on.

IRVINE MEADOW squeezed past GLENAFTON 4-2 on penalties in their replay at Loch Park after a 1-1 draw. Mark Mclennan tapped Meadow ahead on 69 minutes and Kyle Mcausland equalised 10 minutes later, before visiting goalkeeper Paddy O’neil made a fantastic double save and then kept out Glenafton’s first two penalties.

BRIDGE OF DON THISTLE are out after a 3-2 home defeat to FAULDHOUSE UNITED. Paul Napier gave the Jags a half-time lead with a free-kick, but three second-half goals won it for the West Lothian side. Nikolas Wozniak also netted for the homesters.

CARNOUSTIE PANMURE dropped two vital East Super League points after being held to a 2-2 draw at LUNCARTY. All the action came in the last 15 minutes, with Luncarty taking the lead, then Sam Simpson levelled in 78 minutes. The hosts thought they had won it when they took the lead again in 90 minutes, but the Gowfers went straight up the park and Gordon Mcdonald grabbed an equaliser.

KIRRIE THISTLE were on song against SCONE THISTLE and ran out 3-0 winners. Dale Reid grabbed the first from a penalty in 10 minutes and he added a second in 42 minutes. There was no way back for Scone when Ryan Winter fired in a third in 70 minutes.

DOWNFIELD kept their recent winning run going when a Jordan Colquhoun penalty gave them a 1-0 victory over FORFAR WEST END.

TAYPORT were on the wrong end of a

6-0 thrashing from BROUGHTY ATHLETIC. Bryan Duell bagged a double and Josh Skelly converted two penalties, with Greg Mcnaughton and Gregor Anderson also finding the back of the Fifers net.

In the North Premier League, BLAIRGOWRI­E were held to a 2-2 draw by ARBROATH VICS, despite going into a two-goal lead through a Darren Neave penalty and Gary Axworthy. Vics pulled one back, then levelled in 70 minutes through a Marc Walker penalty.

EAST CRAIGIE closed the gap at the top when two Rory Faulkner goals gave the Shipbuilde­rs a 2-0 victory over LOCHEE HARP.
