Farage: Pub pint is safe

Nigel Farage was reported to the police yesterday after appearing to flout quarantine rules by going to the pub less than 14 days after returning from the US.

The Brexit Party leader posted a picture of himself on Twitter enjoying his first sip of lager at 12 noon and claiming to be the pub’s first customer.

Lib Dem acting leader Ed Davey has asked Kent Police to investigate if he had broken quarantine rules.

Farage later tweeted that he has been back in the UK for two weeks and had already tested negative.
