In Challenge Cup action, KELTY HEARTS saw off fellow-lowland side CUMBERNAUL­D COLTS with a 5-0 thumping. Michael Tidser and Jamie Stevenson got a goal each in the first 20 minutes, but it was the last 20 minutes before they found the net again through Dylan Easton (2) and Nathan Austin.

Brian Ritchie put BO’NESS UNITED in front just on the interval, but BURNTISLAN­D SHIPYARD made them fight for a 4-1 win. The Shipyard men came back with a Jay Bridgefort­h equaliser on 57 minutes, but, in the last 13 minutes, Brian Ritchie scored twice and Kyle Best put United on easy street.

BSC GLASGOW crushed DALKEITH THISTLE 6-0. They were five up at the turn after Andy Monk hit a hat-trick in the first 18 minutes and Ross Lyon and Jamie Mills continued the spree. The only goal in the second half came from Ross Lindsay.

HURLFORD UNITED turned in a great second-half show to trounce Lowland side CIVIL SERVICE STROLLERS 4-1. Strollers led at the interval with a Badra Faye goal in 38 minutes, but United’s Paul Mckenzie grabbed a brace and, inbetween, Lewis Morrison scored from the penalty spot. He then got the fourth with two minutes left.

EAST KILBRIDE came out on top 3-1 against ST ANTHONY’S from the West. Kilby went ahead with a 34th-minute goal from Darren Smith, but, soon after the turn, Evariste Bembo levelled. It was the 79th minute before Kilby got their second, with Lewis Kidd slipping the ball home and, soon after, Craig Malcolm made sure of victory.

West side RENFREW pulled off a shock 3-0 win over BONNYRIGG ROSE from the Lowland after Ciaran Diver put them ahead at the interval. Two late goals sealed The Frews’ win, with Scott Morton getting the second on 83 minutes and Diver hitting a late third.

BERWICK RANGERS lost an early goal, but beat UPPER ANNANDALE 4-1. Kyle Mcavoy put Uppers in front after two minutes, but, in the 22nd minute, the sides were level when Lewis Allan sent the Uppers keeper the wrong way with a spot-kick. Jack Wright put them ahead on 63 minutes and Callum Smith hit two goals in the last four minutes.

LARGS THISTLE are through after a 2-1 win over DALBEATTIE STAR. Thistle went ahead four minutes before the interval with a Corry Hughes strike and, early in the second half, Craig Forbes doubled their score. A late Connor Graham header gave Star a consolatio­n goal.

JEANFIELD SWIFTS pulled off a 3-1 win over Lowland side CALEDONIAN BRAVES, with Chris Dodds hitting two goals in the first half and Connor Mclaren getting a third just after the restart. Ross Mcneil got a consolatio­n goal just on the final whistle for Braves.
