Losing start for Pulis as Preston beat wednesday

Tony Pulis made a losing start as Sheffield Wednesday boss as his 10-man side lost 1-0 to Preston at Deepdale.

Tom Barkhuizen’ s second-half strike ended Preston’s dismal run of five home league games without a win.

Teemu Pukki hit the winner to lift Norwich top of the table with a 1-0 win at Middlesbro­ugh.

Luton and Blackburn played out a 1- 1 draw at Kenilworth Road.

Luke Berry had given Luton the lead midway through the second half, but Sam Gallagher replied within minutes.

Ty re se Campbell bagged a brace as Stoke beat Huddersfie­ld 4-3.

The visitors hit the front through Car el Eiting in the 25th minute, but Campbell scored twice inside three minutes to put Stoke in front.

Huddersfie­ld briefly drew level through Isaac Mbenza’s cool finish, but found themselves behind at the break after Richard Stearman turned into his own net.

Sam Clucas extended the lead further in the 57th minute, before Naby Sarr’s header gave the Terriers hope.

Callum Styles and Cauley Woodrow scored to win a difficult game for the Reds.

Dominic Solanke scored twice as Bournemout­h beat Reading 4-2.

Lucas Joao’s penalty and a rare Sonny Aluko goal had put The Royals 2-0 in front, but Solanke’s double, coupled with an A rn autD an ju ma effort and a Lewis Cook wondergoal, saw Bournemout­h to victory.

Kieffer Moore’s late equaliser earned Cardiff a 1- 1 draw against Millwall at the Den, cancelling out Matt Smith’s first-half header.

Ilia sC hair’ s 77th- minute equaliser earned QPR a deserved point in a 1- 1 draw with Watford.

Ben Wilmot’s secondminu­te opener – his first goal for Watford – gave the visitors the perfect start at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

But Rangers had several chances before Chair’s cool finish.

Elsewhere, Wycombe and Brentford played out a lively 0- 0 draw at Adams Park.
