-

BUCKIE 3 INVERURIE LW 0 It was billed as the Game of the Day, but it turned out to be a comfortable afternoon for Buckie Thistle

They never looked back after Sam Pugh directed a third-minute corner beyond Andy Reid and into the back of the net.

Buckie got a break when a great save from Craig Reid fell into the path of Craig Gill, who could only bundle it into his own goal.

Graeme Stewart’s side added a third from the penalty spot through Sam Urquhart.

NAIRN 2, WICK ACADEMY 2

The hosts took the lead in 10 minutes when 20-year-old Ciaran Young’s low 18-yard drive gave keeper Graeme Williamson no chance.

The visitors drew level in 53 minutes when Steven Anderson blasted home. Nine minutes later, Young restored his side’s lead, picking his spot from 16 yards.

Wick levelled a second time when Macnab’s first-time shot from just outside the box beat Maclean on 71 minutes.

BRECHIN CITY 1 HUNTLY 0

Brechin had the upper hand during the opening 45 minutes and they were unlucky not to grab the lead after 15 minutes when Huntly keeper Tom Ritchie brought off a great save from a Jack Milne header.

City were awarded a penalty a couple of minutes into the second half when Max Kurcheravyi was upended in the box by Logan Johnstone. The on-loan St Johnstone youngster’s spot-kick was directed straight at Ritchie. However, to Kurcheravyi’s relief, the ball rebounded to him and he wasted no time in blasting the ball into the roof of the net to clinch a vital three points for his side.

TURRIFF 0 FRASERBURGH 3

League leaders Fraserburgh got off to the perfect start in six minutes. Paul Young’s ball was only partially cleared and, from eight yards, Scott Barbour rolled the ball home.

Dylan Stuart’s passback was picked up by Barbour, who rounded Dey and rolled the ball into the empty net to make it two.

The visitors increased their lead in 54 minutes when a shot from right-back Owen Cairns took a heavy deflection off Ethan Smith and spun away from Dey.

KEITH 0 ROTHES 5

A great turn and finish from the edge of the box by Aidan Wilson gave Rothes the lead, and Wilson turned provider when he sent the galloping Fraser Robertson through to hit a second.

Good play by Ross Gunn saw him cut it back for Wilson to net his second, securing the win. Garry Kerr and Jack Brown added to the scoreline in the last five minutes.

BRORA 8 STRATHSPEY TH 1

Brora enjoyed an eightsome reel against Strathspey, with the Jags centre-back Ashley Ballam putting through his own goal to begin the dance.

Craig Mcdonald levelled, but, after Gregor Macdonald slammed a shot into the top corner and Mark Nicolson headed home a third for the Cattachs, it was one-way traffic.

Matthew Wright made it four before Ewan Neil scored the second own goal of the game. Macdonald, and Wright both grabbed their braces either side of a goal from Colin Williamson

FORRES 2 DEVERONVALE 2

Forres went in front just before the half-hour through Elgin loanee Owen Loveland.

On 55 minutes, winger Matty Jamieson nipped in to square the score. The Can Cans thought they had won it when Paul Brindle put them back in front, but Robert Scott netted a late penalty.

CLACHNACUDDIN 4 FORT WILLIAM 3

Liam Taylor had the Lilywhites in front early on, but the Lochaber club responded with three goals in a stunning eight-minute flurry.

Robbie Foster’s volley was followed by Blessings Tshibikubula’s header. Then Connor Moore slammed in a 20-yarder.

James Anderson got in front of the Fort goalie to head the ball high into the goal to pull one back before half-time.

Eachainn Miller made it 3-3 and set up a grandstand finish, where top scorer Anderson nodded home the winner.

LOSSIEMOUTH 2 FORMARTINE 2

The Coasters came flying out of the traps and Brodie Allen had them in front early on, but Darryn Kelly pulled United level soon after.

Ross Elliot turned the ball past Ewan Macdonald giving Lossie a 2-1 lead. They defended manfully, but Scott Lisle denied them the win in the final minute.
