Albert Kidd

BIG Tam was a very good shot-stopper and controlled his area. He was a great lad for the dressing-room. STEWART was a good defender and a very good full-back. DUFF was our captain and was a good leader on and off the park. An excellent defender and very skilful in his own right. NO-NONSENSE centre-half with good ability. Very committed and Dundee born and bred. TOSH was an excellent player with a very educated left foot. Good at coming forward and making some telling crosses. Good for a goal as well. CAMMY was a very good player who could pinpoint a pass. No surprise when he moved on to Rangers. He had the ability to ping passes about the park at ease. BOMBER was a character and excellent for our squad. A very strong midfielder with a potent left foot. Good in the air and dangerous going in to the box, especially at set-pieces. ROGER, as he was known, was – and is – an absolute gentlemen. Very good player with excellent ability and would be in the top three players I have played with. Left-footed with an abundance of energy to put any defence under pressure. MY biggest asset was that I was very dangerous running at players in the final third and backing up the front two. FERGY was a prolific goalscorer and a tremendous finisher. He was good to play with, as he always made sensible runs and made space for others. TROOT, as he was known, was a gem of a bloke. More importantly, he was a very very good player and finisher. It never surprised me that Arsen Wenger signed him for Nancy in France.
