Aberdeen, Inverness and Highlands

— Showery rain will clear into the North Sea during the morning. It then looks set to be mainly dry, but with generally cloudy skies. There is the chance of a few light showers too. Dry with hazy sunshine in the evening. Moderate westerly winds. Max 17-20C.

Dundee, Tayside and Fife

— It will be bright and generally dry with sunny intervals and only the small chance of the odd light shower. The evening will be dry and fine will long spells of hazy late summer sunshine. A warmer day despite a moderate northweste­rly wind. Max 19-22C.

Central and Clyde Coast

— A fairly cloudy morning with the chance of a few light showers. However, the showers should ease and it will become mainly dry with some hazy sunshine developing. Light breezes. Max 17-20C.

— Variable amounts of cloud through the day with occasional light showers. Warm in the sunshine with just light breezes.
