KNOCKING doors as a politician has its risks, from angry punters to even angrier dogs, but sometimes it has its up sides.

Tory MSP Oliver Mundell was conducting a doorstep surgery in Dumfries when a constituent revealed he was rooting for him and promptly handed over some homegrown radishes.

Mundell’s Register of Interests will be scoured in the coming months to see if he declares the haul!
