Big duck makes quack escape

MOTORISTS were left baffled yesterday when they spotted a giant blow-up duck rolling down a road.

The massive inflatible bird was thought to have broken free from its anchors on nearby ground at Hillington, near Paisley, during a day of high winds and heavy rain.

A video posted on Facebook showed the massive duck rolling off into the distance.

The footage, which was viewed more than 40,000 times in nine hours, was posted by Mark Duncan yesterday with a message reading: “Giant Duck heading to Braehead today be careful out there kids”.

And Twitter user Mikey McKenna posted a video of the huge yellow duck lying on its back on Hillington Road.

Facebook user Nick Jones joked: “It’s a day for ducks.”
