Time unlucky for Hamilton

well is not enough.” Inverness boss Richie Foran praised his players for their exceptional attitude and team spirit as they fought back to earn a point and go five games unbeaten.

Foran was delighted with Liam Polworth’s late leveller and said: “We have spirit and a never-say-die attitude. It’s all credit to the boys.

“That’s three games we have managed to get a point and come from behind. We never gave up.

“In terms of chances created, I thought we deserved the point. Their keeper made a few good saves but we got our reward in the end. Today is a big point for us and a good point for us.”

Polworth’s last-gasp stunning strike from 25 yards gave Caley Thistle a deserved point.

Polworth was a pain to Accies last season too when he nicked a stoppage time winner for Caley Thistle in a thrilling 4-3 match.

This time, Accies controlled the first-half and D’Acol pounced to slam the ball home from five yards after Owain Fon Williams could only block a close range Ali Crawford header with his legs.

Georgios Sarris missed a sitter from 10 yards and then Williams denied Crawford when the midfielder tried a cheeky chip into the top corner.

The Highlanders dominated after the interval but were wasteful in front of goal. A fine opportunity was carved out for Brad McKay at the back post but he blasted his shot high and wide.

Remi Matthews eased the pressure on the men in front of him time and time again.

However he paid the price for his efforts in the 81st minute when he landed awkwardly and injured his shoulder, being replaced by Robbie Thomson.

Thomson was called into action immediately and flew to his righthand side to palm away a netbound header from Ross Draper.

Thomson was helpless in stoppage time though when Polworth levelled the scoring.

Inverness definitely have spirit and some talented players and do not look like a team that will be playing in the Championship next season.
