TO mark the 30th anniversary of Neighbours first being shown on British TV, Channel 5 is having a unique celebration this week.

Thursday’s episode has been tailor-made for British viewers, with the Union flag peppered throughout the programme. Viewers are being asked to count the flags and then enter an on-air competition, with the lucky winner landing a trip for two to Australia.

Neighbours’ executive producer, Jason Herbison, said: “We couldn’t allow the 30th anniversary of our first transmission in the UK to pass by without a celebration.

“We hope all our viewers on Channel 5 will join in the fun and enter the competition. We certainly had a great time planting the Union Jacks throughout the episode – how many can you find?”

Where are they now? P36-37
