It’s the beginning of the end...

Once this, the third series of Broadchurch, reaches its conclusion, there will be no more.

Executive producer Jane Featherstone says: “It is a fond farewell but as far as I am concerned, the community of Broadchurch will carry on living long after we’ve gone.”

Olivia Colman, David Tennant, Jodie Whittaker and Andy Buchan are all back again, bolstered by Julie Hesmondhalgh, Sarah Parish, Lenny Henry and Mark Bazeley.

In the opening episode, Ellie (Colman) and Hardy (Tennant) are called out to attend to Trish Winterman (Hesmondhalgh), who has reported a serious sexual assault.

Hardy considers the theory that, once again, a predator is at large in the otherwise sleepy coastal town – and may strike again at any moment.
