DONS WIN– AND LENNON LOSES IT!

Hibs boss brands his team “a boy band”

-

Andrew Considine and Jonny Hayes celebrate Aberdeen’s winning goal.

An unfortunate own goal from Hibs defender Darren McGregor sent the Dons on to the May 27 showpiece – and the Hibees gaffer into a post-match rage.

He branded his side “utterly pathetic” in a furious tirade as the dust of battle settled.

And he added: “Only Marvin Bartley and Dylan McGeough showed any responsibility.

“The rest looked like the boy band they’ve been over the last three or four years.”

While Aberdeen celebrate, onloan goalscorer Ryan Christie faces an anxious wait for the outcome of today’s Old Firm semi-final.

If Celtic win, he won’t be facing his parent club in the final.
