“But I hope they are excited about the prospect of playing against Celtic in a semi- final. They don’t come any bigger than that.

“The boys have come in and done pretty well, certainly Beerman. Bates, in

his that position? You are maybe looking for a wee bit more experience.

“It’s been the Achilles heel of Rangers, though. They’ve been poor at the back, not just this season but last season at times in the Championsh­ip. The boy has come in and done really well.
