Katherine avoids spat over email
KATHERINE Jenkins has said she has no intention of getting into a war of words with David Beckham over claims he ridiculed her when he failed to get a knighthood.
It has been claimed the former footballer sent a ranting email to a PR rep stating it was a “joke” that Jenkins received an OBE.
However, addressing the alleged outburst, the 36-year-old mezzo-soprano said she didn’t want to get dragged into a spat.
She said: “I didn’t say anything about it at the time, which means I’m definitely not going to be saying anything now or in the future.
“It was a situation I didn’t want to get dragged into. So I’d like to stay out of it please.”
