10 days of drizzle, say forecasters
SCOTLAND is to be hit by 10 days of washouts, disappointing temperatures and blustery winds, forecasters warned.
After missing most of England’s sizzles this summer, Scottish tourism is set for its busiest week as the English school holidays get under way.
But today will bring soakings in southern Scotland, after yesterday’s severe weather warnings for deluges in the south-west.
Government weathermen predicted rain in the east tomorrow, a brighter day on Tuesday but rain from the west on Wednesday. Further bursts of rain and gales are due from Thursday, through the weekend and into early August. The Met Office reported only a “limited” chance of dry spells.
