Star feared TV role was tall order
GAME OF THRONES star Gwendoline Christie has revealed she thought she’d never get a job on screen because she was so tall.
As Brienne of Tarth, the 38-year-old actress has a major role in one of the most popular television shows of all time, but admitted she never thought she would go far because she is 6ft 3in.
“I went to a brilliant drama school but was made aware that I would probably never work because I don’t look like most actors,” she said.
“I told my agent that I’d love to work on screen and he said ‘well, good luck with that’.”
However, less than a year later, the striking star scored the life-changing role of Brienne.
