CAL­LUM HENDRY hasn’t had his trou­bles to seek.

St John­stone’s 19-year-old striker, the son of Scot­land leg­end Colin, trag­i­cally lost his mother, Denise, to menin­gi­tis eight years ago.

He then suf­fered two cru­ci­ate lig­a­ment in­juries be­fore his 18th birth­day.

But Hendry has in­her­ited the Brave­heart spirit from his dad and is de­ter­mined to make a name for him­self at McDiarmid Park.

Hav­ing been re­leased by Black­burn Rovers af­ter 11 years in their sys­tem, he is al­low­ing him­self to dream, with em­u­lat­ing his fa­ther – capped 51 times for his coun­try – top­ping the wish list.
