Fraserburgh 9 Fort william 0

Paul Campbell has proven to be a star turn coming off the bench to net freely in recent weeks. In this one, he started the match and promptly grabbed a hat-trick in the first 10 minutes on his way to an impressive foursome.

The first arrived in the fourth minute when he slotted home from 12 yards after Willie West played him in.

West nodded down for Campbell to net his second, this time from six yards, just two minutes later.

His treble was completed by minute nine, Greg Buchan laying on a close-range finish.

Willie West claimed a hat trick of assists as Fraserburgh added a fourth, this time Aidan Combe collecting the pass from the left to fire home.

Combe turned provider with a fine cross that Campbell attacked to net another fine close-range finish.

The Broch front two were replaced and sub Andrew Hannar wasted no time in making his mark. His substitute strike partner Graham Johnston picked him out with a pass that Hannar slammed into the top corner.

A Cameron Buchan cross from the left saw Hannar rise to head home his second just six minutes into the second half.

Keiran Simpson then added his name to the Fraserburgh scoresheet when he met Johnston’s corner.

Johnston took the score to 9-0 with the goal of the afternoon, hammering home a 25-yard free-kick after Stephen Lopez had fouled Combe.

BUCKIE thistle 0 KEITH 3

Cameron Keith wrote his name into the Kynoch Park history books, becoming the club’s top scorer with a hat-trick against title holders Buckie Thistle.

Having moved on to the 200mark level with Derek Nicol last weekend, he got his golden goal halfway through the first half with a typical poacher’s finish.

The second goal came in the 74th minute and was a demonstration of his tenacity. He advanced from the inside-left channel into the penalty area with his run and, despite being dragged to the ground, he was able to slide the ball past Ryan Booth.

The icing on the cake came late on when a slack pass from Shaun Carrol allowed the visitors to set Keith up for his hat-trick, which he gleefully completed, netting into a gaping goal to round off the Maroons’ impressive cup win.

NAIRN County 3 lossiemouth 2

A soft penalty award in 12 minutes should have seen Nairn take the lead, but Jordan Macrae fired into the body of Blair Moir.

At the other end, Liam Archibald’s low drive deflected off Adam Porritt’s heel before rolling just past the upright.

Nairn were awarded a second penalty in 19 minutes when Dylan Mackenzie was clattered by Moir. The keeper made amends, though, diving to his right to deny Glenn Main from the spot.

The home side, however, did find the back of the net in 33 minutes when Jack Maclean finished off a splendid move, tucking the ball past the advancing Moir.

It was 2-0 in 42 minutes when Mackenzie sent a looping header over the keeper.

Lossiemouth hit back with a fine solo effort a minute before the break from Ryan Farquhar.

Five minutes after the restart, Macrae made it 3-1 with a good turn and shot inside the box.

Lossiemouth replied with Farquhar drilling the ball home from eight yards.

In the closing stages, substitute Max Ewan was denied by Moir, while Aaron Hamilton forced Maclean into a decent stop.

Clach grabbed a shock eighthminute lead with their first attack, Ally Stark knocking the ball on in the box for James Beeston to slide home under the body of Greg Sim.

The home side played a patient approach to get back on level terms and the equaliser came in 39 minutes. In-form Andrew Greig cut in from the left and fired home with a deflection from Michael Finnis helping the ball home.

Two minutes later, it was 2-1, with Greig squaring to Wayne Mackintosh, who quickly swivelled and placed his shot low into the goalkeeper’s left corner.

Left-back Callum Dingwall fired a shot off the outside of the post five minutes into the second half, but the third goal was only delayed another 12 minutes.

After a quickly-taken free-kick, Graham Rodger fired firmly past Douglas Maclennan.

Seven minutes later, playermanager Paul Lawson, with a freekick 25 yards out, netted with a high placement, aided by a headed deflection by Martin Macdonald.

An impressive passage into the quarter-finals was sealed when Liam Burnett raced into the box, the substitute’s effort saved. However, the inrushing Rodger followed up to chip the goalie for No. 5.
